A small group meets on the second Thursday morning of each month to explore a chosen topic. Together we can help one another understand aspects of science with which we might
not be familiar. Over the past few months we have discussed topics such as pesticides, light, drugs from plants, volcanoes, weather forecasting, and fracking. The topic for discussion is chosen by the group just a month in advance which means we can look at subjects that are in the news. One of the group introduces the topic and then everyone chips in with the results of their research.
Numbers are limited by the size of the venue. The group leader is Jane Boylan (01768 867932).
A second group has been formed. The convenor is Roger Leech, who can be contacted on 01768 88745
